Bel and Nebo BabylonBel and Nebo. The Pagan Gods of Babylon
Bel also known as Enlil and Nebo (Nabu) were two of the primary gods that were worshipped in ancient times by the Babylonians. They are referred too numerous times in Babylonian documents as well as the Bible (Old Testament). The Babylonians had so many gods it would be almost impossible to keep up with all of their names and attributes. The prophet Jeremiah describes the Babylonians as being "insane with their idols".

“Proclaim, and do not conceal it. Babylon is taken and Bel is shamed. Her idols are humiliated and her images are broken in pieces. For it is the land of carved images and they are insane with their idols. I will punish Bel in Babylon” - Jeremiah

The following is a list of inscriptions from Babylonians and Assyrians on these two pagan gods:

"I Nebuchadnezzar (King of Babylon) roofed the house of Nebo with cedar wood and plated the beams with gold” – Nebuchadnezzar India Office Inscription

“May Jupiter, the exalted lord of the gods, not let you see the entrance of Bel in Esaglia (Babylonian Temple), may he put an end to your lives. May Nabu, who holds the Tablets of Fate erase your names” – Vassal Treaties of Esarhaddon Ancient Near East Texts

“The temples of the great gods Nabu and Beletnathi” – Banquet of Ashurnasirpal Ancient Near East Texts

“Fear not Esarhaddon, I the god Bel, am speaking to you. I am the god Nabu, god of the stylus praise me” – Oracles Concerning Esarhaddon

“Thus have Bel and Nebo and all the great gods prolonged the life of the king my lord” – Akkadian Mari Letters

Bel and Nebo. The Symbols of the Babylonian Gods on Their Cattle - Isaiah 46
The prophet Isaiah stated the images of these gods were stamped on the beasts and cattle by the Babylonians. You can clearly see the image is a crescent moon with a star. The symbol of Islam!

Christians believe Jesus is the only way to heaven: “He who does not believe in the Son of God is condemned already” – John 3:18

Whereas Islam denies that Jesus was ever crucified and they do not believe he is the Son of God.
"But they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no certain knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not " - Islam Quran 4:157

Islam’s Dome of the Rock mosque sits on the temple mount in Jerusalem. The following text is inscribed on two copper plates on the dome.

“The Sonship of Jesus and the Trinity are false. The prophecy of Muhammad is true”

“He who denies that Jesus is the Son of God is Antichrist” – 1st John
“The 666th verse in the Bible is the “Sons of Ishmael” – Islam

"He was wounded for our transgressions and he was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon him and by his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned every one to his own way and God has laid on him the iniquity of us all" - Isaiah 53
